the perfect marriage of ancient & modern

Totally private and 500 years old, Aikwood Tower is steeped in history and romance. Our first registered marriage was in 1602 and the marriage stone of Robert Scott of Aikwood and Elspeth Murray of Elibank, still presides over today's wedding ceremonies and celebrations.

If you're looking for a unique, intimate, exclusive use Scottish castle wedding with five-star style, there's no better place to celebrate the first day of the rest of your lives together.

Aikwood Tower provides the backdrop to a wedding with serious wow factor and a day that you and your guests will remember forever. Its magical charm, history, stunning woodland surroundings and luxury accommodation, captivate everyone who visits.

EXCLUSIVELY YOURS

Available on an exclusive hire basis (Friday to Monday), Aikwood Tower is perfect for religious, humanist or civil weddings with up to sixty guests.

We only host a maximum of 15 weddings a year and each and every one of those is unique and adapted to our couples’ personalities and style. Central to our approach from the very start is close collaboration with you to bring all your dreams and ideas to life.

Our experienced and friendly wedding team headed up by Vicki are on hand to provide specialist and creative advice on all aspects of your wedding day - from budget advice to venue styling, flowers to photographers, drinks to music.

MAKE YOUR OWN HISTORY

The historic building, natural stonework and picturesque gardens really are a blank canvas that allows couples to create the wedding style and atmosphere that's just perfect for them, using the building and grounds as you wish depending on guest numbers and wedding plans.

Small, intimate wedding ceremonies are ideal in the Great Hall, while for larger guest numbers the Laich Hall situated within the main Aikwood Tower building is wonderful. For the wedding breakfast and dancing, our converted cart shed provides an impressive and versatile rustic space for you to celebrate your marriage in style.

The beautiful walled garden and orchard create a wonderful outdoor setting for drinks, photographs, games and socialising. Many couples also choose to have their ceremony outside on the lawn or terrace – Scottish weather permitting!
