Touch Up Paint Help:

How to Use Touch Up Paint

Follow these simple steps and you will easily and professionally touch up your ride.

Step 1: Thoroughly shake the can of base coat color before applying.

Step 2: Apply as many coats as are necessary to cover the area. Leave at least 10 to 15 minutes between each coat. Do not wet sand or use prep solvent in between coats of paint or clearcoat.

Step 3: Allow at least one hour and up to overnight after the base coat color has been applied before you apply clearcoat. Apply clearcoat in two - three coats using a dabbing motion. Wait 15 to 20 minutes between each coat. Use a light dabbing motion and gently apply the brush so that you do not disturb the undercoats.

Step 4: The clearcoat should be dry to the touch in one - two hours. It will be completely dry overnight. To create an optimum shine clearcoat can be compounded after it is fully dry. Clearcoat can also be wet sanded lightly with 1500 and then polished to remove dirt.

Step 5: Do not wax your new paint for one month.
