A J Scaffolding was established in 1992 and in 1998 became a limited company. We are a family run business specialising in scaffolding hire, sale, erection and dismantle that has continued to grow through two recessions and its dedication to customer satisfaction. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and the flexibility and quality of the service we offer to all our customers - large, medium or small. We provide a free estimating service for all enquiries.
Our superior service has established our place in the scaffolding industry. This allows us to make a distinctive and substantial impact upon our customers. Our operatives are courteous, having respect for our customer, other construction personnel and the actual scaffolding site.
All our scaffolding materials and vehicles are fully owned by us. We operate a fleet of 13 vehicles that allows us to provide our scaffolding services to London, the Home Counties, M25 area, Suffolk, Essex, and Kent.
Due to the importance of Health & Safety all our scaffolding operatives receive ongoing training and have passed their health & safety test. All operatives are trained to current statutory legislation. The tool box talks cover the scaffolding work required at that particular site, site health & safety issues, access and egress regarding the particular site and known scaffolding erection / dismantle site problem areas. Each operative has a full set of personal protective equipment including safety harness, safety helmet, safety boots, high visibility jacket and gloves. We fully comply with all current Health & Safety legislation and are registered by the Construction Industry Training Board - Construction Skills. Our Scaffolders are members of The Construction Industry Scaffolders Record Scheme.
We hold an ancillary work with asbestos licence from the HSE, thus enabling us to work on your site if Asbestos is present.
We have qualified as scaffold safety inspectors. Our supervisors were trained at the National Construction College and they are responsible for inspecting and checking that scaffolds are safe for use and for signing certificates and registers in accordance with statutory regulations. Method Statements and Risk Assessments are provided for each site.
We are an Accredited Contractor under the Contractors Health & Safety Assessment Scheme and we are registered with ConstructionLine, the UK Register of Pre-Qualified Construction Services.
We have employers liability insurance cover of £10m and public liability insurance cover of £10m that can be increased on specific scaffolding erection / dismantle assignments.
