Marc A. Sabga Biography

Marc began studying Martial Arts in 1981 when he joined the Marine Corps. In the Marines, he began his martial arts training. He began kickboxing while in the Marine Corps. The discipline and training he developed in the Marines has been a significant factor all his life. He joined the Guardian Angels in 1986. The Guardian Angels is a volunteer group of private citizens that patrols high crime areas in the city. Its purpose is to protect people from crimes of violence. Marc went on to become the Chapter Leader of the San Fernando Guardian Angeles. As a result of his experience in the Guardian Angels, combined with many years as a bouncer for night clubs, Marc developed a practical aspect of martial arts. His martial arts became very effective in street situations. He perfected fighting skills to survive real street situations. In 1991, Marc began training under Benny " The Jet" Urquidez at The Jet Center. It is a martial arts school for World Class Kickboxers. At The Jet Center, Marc perfected his kickboxing techniques. He had an opportunity to train with the best Kickboxers in the world. He was also involved in a stunt team, and developed martial arts training for film and television. Marc also has three years of gymnastics training and five years of ballet.

Marc has been a member of many community service organizations, and he strongly believes in contributing positively to his community. He has had many years of experience working with children. His resume includes working as a Camp Counselor for three years. He was involved in establishing Options for Youth. Options For Youth is a Charter School designed to recover "at risk" students who do not perform well in a regular school setting. He has also volunteered thousands of hours in service to his community.

Marc is currently Ranked #1 in the T.P.A. Men's Heavyweight Fighting Division. He believes that people can benefit greatly in the areas of self-confidence, physical conditioning, and personal growth by taking martial arts. Marc takes his martial arts training very seriously, due to the fact that his training has saved his life in real altercations. He expects this same attitude from his students. He has also had his own kickboxing school in Sierra Madre, California since 1996. His school is well respected in the martial arts community as many of his students have received championship trophies.
