  • UPDATE FOR WEEK ENDING FRIDAY 17th MAY

    Year 5/6 camp parent helpers meeting, 6.00pm in the staffroom

    FRIDAY 17TH MAY

    Along with many other organisations in New Zealand we will be holding a Pink Shirt Day.  Students can wear clothes with pink, red or white, or multi colours to show their support.  A gold coin donation is encouraged as all donations support the Mental Health Foundation.

    PLASTIC LUNCH CONTAINERS

    A reminder to parents to please not use any glassware to pack school lunches.  We have had two incidents this week involving smashed glass containers.

    FAREWELL TO SHEDA

    It is with sadness that we farewell Sheda Madladji.  Sheda has been at Albany Primary School for six and a half years as an English Language Assistant (ELA) in our ESOL Department and during her time at Albany has assisted hundreds of students gain confidence with their english language skills.  Sheda’s calm and caring nature will be missed by the staff and students.  Her last day is next Friday 17th May.  We wish Sheda all the very best in her new position as an English Language teacher/ Kaiako at Te Wananga o Aotearoa/Dynaspeak.  

    PARENT HELP NEEDED AT YEAR 5/6 CAMP – Day Helpers

    We are desperately seeking parent helpers at our Year 5/6 camp on Monday 10th and Tuesday 11th June.  We would love to have more day helpers.  You do not need to have students attending the camp to be a helper.  You may also know of family members and friends that may wish to assist.
