Your Training starts with the Venturi Method©

The Venturi Method is the first ever nationally recognised airbrush course, VET code: 21724VIC - Course in Venturi Method Airbrushing. It is a ground breaking system of airbrush training. We have been researching this system for over 20 years now, and we are continually improving it.

The Method is based entirely on simple, logical steb by step processes. Airbrush Venturi doesn't so much teach art, as teach rendering. We can teach you to render portraits, wildlife, automotive images, cartoons - anything that interests you.

How is this possible, if you can’t even draw? For one thing, we will teach you to trace using an overhead projector from photographic references, eliminating the need to know how to draw. Can you trace? Using an OHP to enlarge your own original photography is not cheating, or any less creative, it just means you get better results, easier.

We guarantee that our courses will work for you.

This is a bold promise, but if you have any reasonable difficulties learning our methods and do not achieve set results within set times, we will give you free training until you succeed.

Course in Venturi Method Airbrushing - 21724VIC:

VBP826 - Apply fundamental skills and structures of airbrushing
VBP827 - Create black and white realist form and image deconstruction
VBP828 - Create black and white realist textural form
VBP829 - Create colour realist form
VBP830 - Create colour textural form

It takes between 130 - 180 hours to complete the full course of five units and will depend on the homework (artworks) that you are willing to airbrush at home during training.

Each of the units of the full course are simply the five groups of knowledge required to be able to airbrush completely independently.

Successful completion of all five units will result in you receiving the nationally recognised "Statement of Attainment" for the Course in Venturi Method Airbrushing. As you complete each unit prior, you will be given a certificate identifying those units which have been successfully complete.

There are a series of courses under the Applied Method Courses that you can attend that can greatly extend your training after the Venturi Method, in highly specialised applications (custom paint, textiles, interiors, etc).

You will love being good at airbrushing!

The Venturi Method -
Systematic Image Deconstruction and
Artwork Construction Methodology,
that is guaranteed to work for YOU.

VBP826 (Unit A)
Apply fundamental skills and structures of airbrushing

All the fundamental skills required to control an airbrush with the confidence and precision needed to paint a portrait are covered.
This is the crucial foundation level on which all the following units are based. We will have you painting portraits by about the 15 - 20th hour of training. You will be amazed at how systematic everything we teach you is.
30 - 40 hours of training.

VBP827 (Unit B)
Create black and white realist form and image deconstruction

This unit teaches you to break down artwork references systematically and airbrush your own b+w portraits. You will achieve your first point of independence. This is what the whole course is about and you will effectively reach your first point of independence after only about 50 hours of training.
20 - 30 hours of training.

VBP828 (Unit C)
Create black and white realist textural form

Textures are vital to bringing your artworks to life, to creating realism. Being able to confidently combine form and texture to create a high level of realism will be a major milestone in your training. This completes your training in creating black and white realist portraiture.
20 - 25 hours of training.

VBP829 (Unit D)
Create colour realist form

We will teach you a simple but powerful color mixing method and then extend this to developing groups of colours to create realistic form. At the end of this unit you will be able to independently refer to colour photos and create acurate full colour artworks from them, confidently.
We guarantee it works!
40 - 50 hours of training.

VBP830 (Unit E)
Create colour realist textural form

Being able to confidently combine colour, form and texture as a fully integrated package is your ultimate goal, to achieve complete independence. This is the final of the five units and it means that you have a complete system of airbrushing and should be able to create realist full colour portraiture with confidence to a high standard.
20 - 30 hours of training.
