Beware of fake percentages and facts

Here are some percentages we keep telling, hearing or reading on daily basis:

• You are 85% wrong.
• There is a 50% chance that this will happen.
• 95% people of Pakistan want this.
• Musharaf was only 20% wrong.
• Nawaz Sharif is doing 80% good work while Zardari is 90% wrong.
• 70% kids have been spoiled by this.

These are all fake percentages. We have not done any surveys or polls to identify these percentage figures. We have just made these up; right now.

These statements are just our gut feelings (which come under deBono’s redhat) and not some hard core facts (which come under deBono’s white hat.)

There is nothing wrong if we know this and do not press to make these statements appear as real/verifiable facts.

I am sure 95% people will agree with me. What do you say? 😉
