“Knowing Me, Knowing You”

Abba Again is a professional band that comprises of 2 female singers and 2 multi instrumental males playing keyboards, trumpet, percussion and guitar. They all sing and harmonize, performing their sets in full costume with choreographed dance routines.

The band met whilst performing in their old band, from which ex member and close friend Suzanne Shaw used to play (Suzanne is the blonde member of chart topping, Pop Stars band ‘Hear’ Say’, and winner of ‘Dancing On Ice 2008’).

When Suzanne left to join ‘Hear’ Say’, the band reformed to make the young and energetic band called Forbidden, continuing with their sensational Abba Tribute, ‘Abba Again’ and 70′s tribute show called ‘Dave Decks and the Love Thing’

As a band and individually the members have performed all over the world. Australia, Dubai, Russia, Greece, Germany, Italy, Paris, Bahrain & Korea to name only a few, with many TV appearances and documentaries under their belt.

The band has played at many prestigious venues and functions, each member has a different, memorable moment, and for different reasons, however two recent performances will stay in the bands mind for a long time.

The first is December 2008 performing in Germany for military personnel and family.

“Many of the regiments had just returned from Iraq and this was their first Christmas remembering fallen colleagues. It was quite emotional talking with the service men and women, and listening to there stories of camaraderie and bravery over seas. To see them enjoying our performances was very satisfying in the knowledge that for a short time they where able to put some of their sad experiences to the back of their mind, and let their hair down with family and friends, on this particular tour we played to over an estimated 10,000 personnel and had the pleasure of performing with, comedian and actor Dave Spikey (The character Jerry Sinclair, compere from Peter Kay’s ‘Phoenix Nights’).”

The second was memorable in a completely different way: This was the performance on TV chat show ‘Richard and Judy’ in January 2009, where as a surprise for Suzanne Shaw, the program put the old band together to perform on the show, it was the first time in more than 8 years that the band had performed with their old keyboard player and good friend Steven Evans, who was flown in especially from Barcelona for the TV show.

The band is currently on their 7th, successive tour in Majorca. The tour lasts for 6 months and from May to the end of October they play to an international crowd of holidaymakers at packed out clubs, pubs, hotels, fiestas and tourist establishments across the island.
