Bed and Breakfast in Corfe Castle
Welcome to Alford House Bed and Breakfast, a family run B&B situated in the picturesque village of Corfe Castle. The village is central to the Isle of Purbeck, an ideal location from which to explore the many nearby places of interest, including: the sandy beaches at Studland and Swanage, Wareham, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and the Jurassic Coast (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
Alford House is on the Purbeck Way, a named footpath leading around the area, and adjoins Corfe Common with almost 500 acres of open heathland, the largest Common in Dorset. Purbeck is enjoyed by all those with a love of the outdoors including bird watchers, walkers, golfers, anglers, photographers and climbers. The local coastline offers a full range of watersports including sailing, windsurfing, diving and coasteering, road cycling and mountain biking are also very popular in the area.
Alford House dates back to the 17th Century and, until the mid 1980s, the property was a local grocery store known as Driscoll's. Alford House has been refurbished by ourselves, and we now live in one part of the house with a separate area for B&B. For guests there is private, off-road parking and your own private entrance into the house. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions about a stay at Alford House.
