Facilities

A coin-operated washing machine and tumbler dryer are available for all guests as are an iron and ironing board and  a vacuum cleaner . An extensive collection of videos and paperback books (mainly in English) are at the disposal of the guests. There are extra toilets with basins and running water on each landing and in the main entry area. There is room for ski storage etc. in the main entry area. Ample, free, outdoor parking is reserved for all guests. The large, sunny garden (over 2300 square metres) has mature trees and is bordered by a trout stream (small children need supervision). In summer, garden furniture and a grill are available for use by the guests.

We are sorry, the building is old and there is no wheelchair access.

Quiet, clean pets are accepted but the owners are responsible for any damage done by their pets.

A welcome package (wine, orange juice, butter, tea, coffee etc.) is offered to guests who stay for a week or more. The owners will provide breakfast, if desired, at regular restaurant prices.

Renting Conditions

Check-in time is from 15:00 (3 p.m.). Please notify us if you expect to arrive after 18.00 (6 p.m.). Check-out time is 10:00 a.m. Luggage storage is provided for guests who wish to spend the rest of the day in Kandersteg. We will make every effort to be flexible on check-in and check-out times.

A deposit of 30% of the total rental will be required on confirmation of booking. This deposit will be forfeit for no-shows or cancellations within 72 hours of agreed arrival unless an alternative renter can be found.

Two house keys will be provided. The charge for the loss of a house key is SFr. 50.- . Guests are asked to lock the house door in the evenings.

Prices are fully inclusive of rental, tourism taxes (we are registered with the Kandersteg Board of Tourism) and final cleaning although you are expected to leave the apartment in a reasonably clean state. We accept VISA, Mastercard, Eurocard, post cheques and, of course, cash.
