I’m going to show you a couple little things you can do with the electric guitar. The first one is if you don’t have a whammy bar but still want to get the same effect there’s a way to do that. Push down on the bridge of the guitar and it will give the same sound as if you were pulling the whammy.
Also, if you want to do the same thing and are only playing one string then you can push down on the strings up near the machine heads. Yea that’s right I said machine head. Those are the nobs at the top of your guitar where you tune it.
Lastly, when your playing a Sublime song you have to have your shirt off. Brad Nowell, the late singer of the band, used to play with his shirt off all the time. Plus it gets the ladies going. Just kidding around a little, but enjoy my version of their song titled “April 29, 1992.” See if you can spot a couple of these tricks in the video.
Hey thanks for the guitar tips! I will have to try the no whammy bar sound by pushing on the bridge.
so then do I push donw right on the bridge, or on the strings between the bridge and the stop bar?

It actually depends on what kind of guitar you’re using. Some guitars have more stationary bridges that don’t allow you to do this. I’m using a Fender Strat. Do not push down directly on the strings because it will mute the notes you just played. Push down on the end of the bridge farthest from the strings.
Hope this helps
