BRONOPOL
Bronopol inhibits the growth of most types of bacteria, especially pseudomonas species in the concentration range of 20-100 ppm. At pH 4-8. Similar results are obtained against yeasts and molds at pH 7 or greater. Bronopol can also be used against a wide range of plant pathogenic bacteria, especially Xanthomonas malvacearum which causes ‘Blackarm disease’ of cotton, by treatment of seeds. Use of this product is dependent on conditions; changes from country to country means use of this product should be as directed by local experts on seed dressing.
