ENTREE at the Apo View Hotel

A sprawling flagship restaurant located between the busy lobby and tranquil garden of a landmark hotel in Davao City, Philippines.

THEME:  Earthy Industrial.
KEY ELEMENTS:  dramatic resin tree sculptures, slate coloured floors, old railroad track girders, fall colours, exaggerated curves. 

Completed in 2006.

LAE Swimwear

 A young independent designer from the Philippines opens her first store in the ground floor of a shopping centre.

THEME: Fun, tropical resort.
KEY ELEMENTS:  Pink and other bright colours, pebbledash floors, reclaimed tree stumps, twine and woven baskets.

Completed in 2007.

An Urban Retreat

A two-storey residential project in the centre of the city whose owner wanted a tranquil space to come home to that was at once modern and very much reflective of his heritage.

THEME: Contemporary Filipino with rustic touches.
KEY ELEMENTS: Clean lines offset by vine detailing. Autumn slate, terracota tile & wooden floors. Wrought iron and capiz shell accents. Reclaimed wood doors and newel posts.

Completed in 2005.

A Minimalist Man Cave

A bright, airy three-storey structure whose owner wanted it to be a cosy yet sleek, smart backdrop to house his vast collection of furniture & artefacts amassed from his travels & living around the world.

THEME: Modern with Asian and African art.
KEY ELEMENTS: White walls, dark wood, furniture that seem to be floating off the ground, glass, stainless steel, mood lighting.
