Makahiya Chair / Footstool

Exploring the use of CNC technology to mimic the closing and opening leaves of the curiously bashful mimosa plant (commonly known as makahiya in the Philippines), this not-so-bashful accent piece allows itself to be configured in various ways, encouraging users to interact with their furniture—and each other.
