Pre press – scanning, proofing, computer to plate and more

We’ve seen a lot of changes in the print industry over the years. Throughout this time, our studio has continually embraced new technology, up to date software, colour proofing and computer to plate systems. Our studio work closely with printers and understand what it takes to make the process run smoothly and efficiently. Apogee software allows files (including PDF) to be processed directly with imposition and colour separation whilst flagging potential issues such as font or image colourspace. The same processed files now produce proofs and plates alike to ensure consistency.

Most software formats can be handled including most PC Microsoft programs. We are always up to date with all the usual DTP programs from Adobe and Quark.

Whilst the majority of our output is handled by computer to plate, we have many customers who still require film imagesetting particularly for more specialist printing.
