Fingerplays:

I’m a Lion

I love to sleep out in the sun, (rest cheek on folded hands)

And chase other animals for fun. (run in place)

In all the jungle, I’m number one, (hold up one finger)

I’m a lion! (ROAR)

Five White and Fluffy Sheep (to the tune of “Five Green and Speckled Frogs”)

Five white and fluffy sheep, (hold up 5 fingers)

In the pasture fast asleep, (rest cheek on folded hands)

Their wool kept them cozy all night long. (wrap arms around body)

Snore, snore! (pretend to snore)

The farmer slipped away with one,

And sheared the wool ‘til he was done. (move hand up and down one arm, then the other)

Then there were four white fluffy sheep. (hold up 4 fingers)

Baa, baa!

(Continue counting down…)
