My Book

Some stories insist on being told, whether we want to tell them or not. Mammograms, Mastectomies, and a Spiritual Makeover is one of those stories. It’s not so much a story about me, though. It’s a story about God and the love that He lavishes upon us when we are frightened and hurting.

You see, the amazing thing about having your life turned upside down by cancer, or any other crisis, is that God stays so wonderfully close. He sees our tears. He feels our pain. He knows our heartache. If you’d like to hear more about God’s incredibly amazing love, I invite you to read my story.

Mammograms, Mastectomies, and a Spiritual Makeover is available from amazon.com.

Thank you for sharing in my excitement over what God is doing with this story.

    Dear Jill,
Just finished reading your book! In fact, the book was purchased by Verne Nance and given to my mom for her birthday. My mom read the book, and would tell me about it on our walks. Next my dad read it, and commended the book, and then they passed it on to me. I had already started to think about who I might buy copies for: my friend who had breast cancer and my sister-in-law who’s currently going through the radiation following, chemo and a double mastectomy. I think that not only can they relate to your story, but they can also have your book as a resource to encourage those who will walk in their shoes.
I so appreciated your story. I enjoyed getting to know you and your family, hearing from your heart, seeing your love for your husband, your children, your parents, your friends and your God,and hearing of the love bestowed on you. I commend you for your candor…..for paving the way through the minefields of cancer to share the way for those who will follow. Sometimes the worst thing is just not knowing what to expect, and arming someone with knowledge can be empowering.
Jill, I know I speak for many who know you or who have known you way back when in saying, “I AM SO PROUD OF YOU”…..for your perseverance, for writing this book, for fulfilling your childhood dream…..and for keeping your chin up! And I am grateful to your hero for his forsight in encouraging the writing of this book. I was also so pleased to see that your mother was the photographer of the beautiful photos that I had seen on your facebook and on your book.
May the Lord bless you and your family abundantly and beyond your imagination for your obedience and sacrifice of love both in your life and in the writing of this book. May his name be glorified!
    Ephesians 3:14-21
