Alila Hotels & Resorts recognized as India's Best Managed Hospitality Group at The 2nd Annual India Leadership Conclave 2011

Alila Diwa Goa opened its doors in December 2010 as the first Alila lifestyle resort to open in India. Today, Alila Diwa Goa brought honor to the brand to be recognized as India's Best Managed Hospitality group at the 2nd Annual India Leadership Conclave (ILC) 2011. This is the third year of the ILC awards, where leading corporate organizations are honoured for their contributions to the Indian Economy.

Everyone loves to party in Goa and at Alila Diwa Goa it’s all about creating reasons to meet and celebrate. Spice Studio, the specialty restaurant at the resort is the venue of choice for an intimate dinner hosted by internationally renowned Michelin Star Chef Vineet Bhatia for a few of India’s movers and shakers.

London based Vineet who operates restaurants in Mauritius, Geneva, Dubai, London and Moscow and his wife Rashima are currently in India filming a gourmet show for a popular TV channel which shows him travelling back to his country of origin to rediscover the flavours and taste of India's rich regional cuisine. Drawing inspiration from what he tastes, Vineet then creates a four course fine dining experience for his guests.

The guest list last for the evening included well known Indian interior designer Jivi Sethi, photographer par excellance Prabuddha Das Gupta, supermodel Laxmi Menon and a few of Goa’s very own socialites. The guests enjoyed a sumptuous meal which spanned local Goan cuisine given a gourmet twist. Highlights of the menu included a Kokumand Green Chilli Granita, Feni flambéed Lobster Peri-Peri with Goan Sausages and Onions, Goan Prawn Curry in Tender Coconut, Fish Caldine; Sanna Sandwich with Balchao Chutney, Pomfret Rechado and for dessert a delectable Coconut Crème Caramel and Raw Mango Sorbet.
HICSA 2011 Critics Award - Best New Hotel in India

HVS India announced Hotel of the Year Awards 2011 during the seventh Hotel Investment Conference South Asia (HICSA) 2011 for luxury, mid-market and budget/economy categories.  Hotels were shortlisted from the nominations received by HVS India appointed independent jury panel and the winners were selected by HICSA delegates through an online voting system.
