Eden Ostrich World Live Ostriches, a shop which includes Ostrich products and Ostrich meat.
Rheged - the village in the hill. Europes largest turf roofed building. Imax cinema showing a variety of films, shops, cafes, Made in Cumbria Food Hall and the National Mountaineering exhibition.
Lake District Bird of Prey Centre. Falconry centre with a variety of birds of prey flying exhibitions etc.
Alpaca Centre The Alpaca Centre is the only one of its type in Europe and has been developed to expand knowledge of the Alpaca, its products and its viability as a farm animal for fibre production
Wetheriggs Pottery. Local craft work, hands on pot painting, cafe, conservation area etc. Based around an old wood fired kiln.
Ullswater Steamers. The Lady of the Lake and the Raven run a service the ledngth of Ullswater and back start at Pooley Bridge, call at Howtown and then Glenridding. For the more energetic take the steamer to Glenridding and walk back using the Lake side footpath.
Ravenglass to Eskdale railway - T'laal Ratty. A narrow gauge railway, with some diesel and some steam engines running up the beatiful Eskdale valley.
Keswick Pencil Museum. The Pencil industry started in Keswick due to the presence of Graphite in the local fells. Although now completely mined-out the industry still clings on.
The Lake District National Park Website. A useful site giving weather information, details of the work of the National Park, events, and other information for visitors to the area.
The Gem Den - Specialist Rock, Fossils and Jewellery Shop. A family run business specialising in gemset silver jewellery, minerals, fossils, stone ornaments, carvings etc.
Upfront - Gallery and cafe. Ceramincs, crafts, cards jewellery and regularly changing exhibitions.
