Ronald Wharton established his own company in 1984. Prior to that point he worked as a master gunmaker for John Rigby & Co. (Gunmakers) Limited, London, since gaining an apprenticeship as a young school leaver. When the company was sold in 1984, Ronald Wharton set up his own company, specialising in the manufacture of classical English stalking and Big Game rifles.

Everything can be made to order including the choice of wood for the stock. Customised engraving is carried out by the very talented Marcus Hunt (son of Ken Hunt).

Ronald Wharton also offers a full restoration of firearms service: double rifle regulation, colour case hardening and fitting of Holland & Holland style scope mounts for the discerning client.

In addition to selling double rifles, secondhand bolt action rifles and shotguns, Ronald Wharton will view and bid on behalf of clients at the major auction houses in the UK.

We wish to point out that Ronald Wharton (from Rigby's) is not associated in any way with John Rigby & Co. (gunmakers) Limited.
