You’re very welcome. I would say, “it’s my pleasure,” but these wildfires are truly terrible. People are hungry for information about them, so I do what I can. Thank you for taking the time to write. Hope we all have a safe day today. God bless the firefighters.

were can i find the ecology info about these fires berore the fire happened?

      • M.J.Deare says:

Are you trying to find before-and-after information? If so, I haven’t been able to locate that either. It may be too soon. I’ve also been searching for aerial photos of the burned areas that show the contrast between burned and unburned places. If I see anything online regarding environmental effects of the fires, I’ll be sure to let you know.

Thank you so much for the link! I’m constantly searching for information to post regarding the fires. Here’s hoping we get lots of rain soon and they’ll all be extinguished. Thank you for taking the time to write.

Sometimes finding information on the web is like pulling teeth, but man, how I wish it had existed when I was young, lol. My daughter will never know what depending upon encyclopedias, the library, newspapers, phone books, etc. to find out anything was like. Click enough links and sometimes you get lucky. Here is another good site.

Thank you for maintaining this map. My nephew from Arizona is fighting the PK fire. I was able to send this link to his wife and mother in Arizona so that they could get an idea where he is.

    • M.J.Deare says:

You are so welcome. I’m glad that this information is helpful to you and your family. Your nephew is a hero in my book, and he and all the other firefighters are in our thoughts and prayers every day.

Great map however, could you post an updated one? We live west of San Antonio in the Hill Country in Medina and we are getting a lot of smoke today, we hope from the fires FAR away. Looking for a site with up to date information on fire locations. Thanks.

  7. D. Browning says:

This is a very good map also. We check it several times daily to keep informed of the fire situation. On the right side of the map check the “Fire” box to see satellite detected fires & smoke cover. Our prayers go out to those effected by the fires & the brave men & women fighting them.
    Thanks

    Thank you for the information.

    • M.J.Deare says:

Thank you so very, very much. I checked out the map on wunderground, and found it very helpful. I’ll post this information for the blog readers as well. Thanks again! (And your post is just fine.)

Thank you so much for the heads-up. I’m searching for current info right now. Seems we have a fire going in Spring, somewhere along Tamina Road. I’ll post something when I can locate specific information about that one and any in Conroe. Thanks again!
