Heroes of Newerth Map Hack And Cheat Issue

BREAKING the GAME!

I’ve been playing HoN for a while now and it’s a great game. I played against my first map hacker just yesterday. It was in a Brasil game. The player in question was playing defiler(krob)I was playing scout because I felt like playing a gay hero. Anyways he randomly waved me in mid one time and I wasn’t near creeps or another hero and I died. I was like okay… Then later he did this a few more times and I was like okay this is dumb. I didn’t think about wards right away so I went to test this.

I stayed stealth and moved to several random places in real odd spots and even after the creep wave had passed I never left stealth and sure enough he kept waving me. It then hit me(evne though his stats were .9:1 and below average creep kills and exp/minute) maybe he has wards. Well right away I was like “Well why aren’t the others attacking me” but just to cover my bases I bought more true sight wards to counter-ward but sure enough there weren’t any wards. The guys’ name was Ironskull. That was my experience of Heroes of Newerth Cheats and Map Hack I hope HoN comes with a way to protect this amazing game from cheaters. I have been playing HON ever since it started.

I have seen no unusual things. Until, it’s 1.50.1 version. I don’t know if you’ll be surprised but one of my teammate chose pyromancer. Just before the countdown runs out, the player in the other team chose pyromancer. I was like that’s unbelievable. But it keeps getting better when he/her teammates got 3(three) Pebbles. We lost that game because we can’t move after all 3 (three) Pebbles stunned us one after the other.
Can someone tell me what this is? its pretty much impossible to stop maphacking from a programing point of view, but there are always ways to catch it becuase it changes addresses in memory that can be checked, hon has already released a statement saying they are working on it, so im really not to worried because these guys are still on the ball as far as updates and gearing things towards the community, but in defense of the maphackers being a programmer myself, they do it to see if it can be done, also, if u look at other games people have made tons of money starting communities geared around maphacks, winbots ect.

I don’t understand why data about off screen units needs to be on the client at all (other than for performance reasons). As long as the location of hidden units is somewhere on the client little dickheads are going to find a way to expose it. Otherwise, I totally agree with WraithX, let them hack but catch them and ban their accounts. Blizzard uses a similar system for games not hosted by players.
