Develop and source original content for the U.S. Olympic Committee web site (www.teamusa.org). Develop and negotiate content partnerships with third-party content providers. Coordinate and manage the activities of a variety of freelance content developers including athletes, journalists, sports / event specific writers, photographers. Lead content development and management of social media programs and implementation of new digital functionality across emerging media platforms (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.).

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Steward the strategic content vision to provide unique and exclusive access to the journeys of Olympians, Paralympians, and hopefuls, and direct all content sources to provide content which fulfills this vision.

2. Develop and implement sustainable content programming elements which drive measurable traffic growth and create valuable sponsorship properties for partners.

3. Create and maintain editorial calendar, and manage final work product of all freelance and contract writers, athlete bloggers and video producers; creating original content for the U.S. Olympic Committee’s web site.

4. Propose recommendations and execute strategy to leverage social media platforms to drive traffic and increase awareness within a new audience.

5. Establish relationships with National Governing Body communication teams to develop storylines around their sports, facilitate access to athletes and create content sharing opportunities.

6. Assist USOC constituents (e.g. Olympic University, Legal, CODP, etc.) with the creation of new content for teamusa.org.

7. Identify athletes to provide original content, and manage their contributions to the site and to the USOC’s social media programs.

8. Develop and manage (in coordination with USOC IT, Development and Marketing) a robust e-mail and mobile communication platform.

9. Assist with the development of web-related activation opportunities for USOC corporate partners.

10. Assist with the development of original and archive video assets.

The Director/Senior Manager of Interactive Marketing Strategy is responsible for developing and assisting in the execution of the strategy as well as leading ISC and its Business Units in adoption of this strategy as it relates to interactive assets including websites, social media, analytics, on-line advertising (both buying and selling) and integration of these assets with each other and other assets including ticketing systems, email/CRM, etc. Additionally, this position will help to forge the relationship between ISC and its digital agencies of record as well as associated interactive vendors to ensure the most beneficial relationship. • Standardize process and manage the placement/inventory of advertising on ISC web properties (as sold by business units or corporate marketing) as well as assist in optimizing web properties through Search Engine Optimization as well as other techniques to improve site traffic;

Sports4Kids – Portland

Responsibilities:Assist with the oversight and coordination of Sports4Kids’ administrative functions, advance Sports4Kids’ goals and work with staff and volunteers to create a sustainable and well-organized community-based organization. Also responsible for some administrative functions of local, state and federal government grant program management and compliance, particularly AmeriCorps.

About the Organization:Sports4Kids is a nonprofit that provides safe, healthy playtime at low-income schools to create a positive environment for learning and teaching. Our recipe for rescuing recess and making play a part of every day has transformed more than 170 schools across the country. We put trained adults on the playground to introduce classic games that are disappearing from schoolyards, like kickball and four-square, as well as new games designed to build leadership and foster teamwork.
