Who is Rockhopper?

Rockhopper is the Club Penguin Pirate who visits Club Penguin Island every month or so after going back home to Rockhopper Island and stocking up on some gifts for us. He has been to Club Penguin numerous times. He writes his own journal which helps us to unlock his past. He first sailed away from Club Penguin Island in 2005. He first returned in October 2006, when I was there, and when he arrived everyone was surprised and excited. He has also brought many gifts. He owns a ship called ‘The Migrator’ and has a Red Puffle, which he first brought to Club Penguin in December 2006, named Yarr.

When has he come?

He has arrived/came to Club Penguin nine times. He has brought the following Free Items available for all players.

Visit One: Pirate’s Eyepatch

Visit Two: Red Bandana, Red Puffles

Visit Three: Pirate Boots

Visit Four: Pirate Belt

Visit Five: Puffle bandana

Visit Six: Red bandana

Meeting Rockhopper

It is every penguin’s dream to meet Rockhopper. He is often crowded and wears pirate clothes that are not available to anyone else.
Alright, finding Rockhopper. That’s something just about every penguin out there wants to do (If they haven’t found him already).

For one thing, Rockhopper is Club Penguin’s account, its not a bot or fake person. So that means he can be on any server, in any place he wants to be. However, he goes on these servers a lot: Mammoth, Frozen, Mittens, Big Foot, Parka* and a lot of the highly populated U.S. Servers (the ones on the left column of the first page of the U.S. servers list).

Now, finding him is kinda tough, but it can be done. Two great factors is that he’s literally larger than the average penguin (he’s big). And you won’t image how popular he is, there’s always a flood of penguins around him. And one surefire way of knowing he’s on there is that you can’t get into the room because its full and there’s hundreds of penguins clobbering to get into the room.

And he’s most likely to be in the Dock, the Night Club, the Iceberg, the Cove, and (this is the one he’s most on) his ship, The Migrator.

As for times he’s on, he’s most usually on during peak hours (times when everyone’s on), but he can also be on during random times of the day and night when there’s a moderate amount of people or no people at all.

How To Check If He (Rockhopper) Is Online Or Not

When you log into Club Penguin Start Menu, type in Rockhopper and anything as his password and press enter. If it says he is banned that means he is not on. But if it says incorrect password that means he is logged in! Trust me it works!

I made this Rockhopper Tracker myself. It’s working accurately. It’s not for Public use. It’s PRIVATE. So don’t ask me about it. By the way, here’s the picture:

Methods of finding him

One very tedious and dull way to find him is check all the servers I mentioned in all the places I mentioned, and if you still don’t find him check all the other servers, and if you still don’t find him, check every place in every server. But even this might not work, because he’s not always on, and he can change servers any time he wants to.

A somewhat effective way is to check servers that are not usually filled up or full, and go look on there. I’ve actually gotten this to work before.

Another way is going on the most popular servers in the most popular places and just wait. It could take a few minutes or a few hours (ugh, you should try something else if it takes that long), but someone just might shout “He’s on Mittens!” or “He’s on Mammoth!”, and as soon as they do, rush on to that server before it fills up and rush to the ship (he’s most likely here) before that fills up as well. This has worked a few times for me.

And if you still can’t find him, he’s probably not on right now so try a different time.

Easy Way To Find Him!!! (New!!!)

~ Rockhopper is normally on the country which is most popular at that time. For example, he will probably be on the UK servers around 4pm or 5pm (GMT). By going on at this time most days, I found him really easily!

~ Once you’ve found Rockhopper once that day, it’s really easy to find him again, as he usually just hops to and from the same country servers, then moves on to another country’s servers. So, if you’ve just missed him, try again on the next server down the line.

Once You Find Him (Rockhopper)

Once you find him, its awesome! Click on his Player Card and you will get his Background!!! Here the picture of me wearing his Background:

There’s about two dozen penguins there asking him questions and HE ANSWERS THEM (with a pirate accent). Also, you get a Rockhopper Background, if you try buddying him (You can’t buddy him….but you can put him on your ignore list), you can go to his “home” (The Migrator, his ship), and you can send him postcards and he sometimes sends one back! And you can follow him around when he walks around the place.
Remember, Rockhopper’s not always on Club Penguin.
