I knew from when I was very young that singing was for me. As a child I spent hours making up and learning a vast number of songs.
I sang in 3 choirs as a teenager and eventually enrolled in the ‘Musik Akademiet’ in Copenhagen, studying singing and piano. In 1993 I moved to England and became strongly involved with the Music Organisation called ‘Tonalis’.
I am a graduate of two of Tonalis' Vocational Music Trainings; and I have diplomas both in:
The ‘Tonalis Voice Training’ and in the ‘Music Education for Children Training’, as well.

I have been a singing student of the Tonalis director and master singing teacher; Michael Deason-Barrow for many many years, as well as being a long-standing member of his choir ‘Tonalis Company of Singers‘, and later named ‘Choros‘. For several years now I have performed with this unique choir, with its amazing and broad repertoire - both as part of the whole choir and in small consorts, I have also given solo performances.

I am available as an alto soloist for oratorio, cantata and concerts.
I have sung and performed alto solos from various works:
Vivaldi's ‘Gloria RV 589‘
Vivaldi's ‘Nisi Dominus‘
Handel's ‘Messiah‘

I have taken ‘Trinity College London’ Singing and Music Performance Diploma Exams. I am a qualified:

Associate of ‘Trinity College London’ with a
Diploma in Singing and Performance - ATCL.

I have also had singing lessons with the famous tenor Ian Partridge, as well as singing lessons with the wonderful singer, composer and Trinity diploma examiner, Gary Higginson.
I have also taken the high LTCL Diploma exam in singing and music performance, which level is twice as high as grade 8. I got distinction in performance.

I have also taken the grade 8 Trinity R and P certificate.

Apart from running a business as a Celebration Singer, I am also one of the founding members of the all female consort “Si Canta”, which has performed during 2007/2008 and also sung for weddings.

I have also performed in numerous folk clubs both in England and in Ireland specifically with my folk repertoire. Both as a soloist as well as a member of the new 'Si Canta duo' with Catharina Rickett.

Musicianship Classes:

I also run regular classes in musicianship skills locally in Gloucestershire, this includes sight singing, rhythms, ear training etc. using Tonalis' unique methodologies. These groups are also very popular indeed, they enable participants to improve their musicianship skills relatively quickly, and the social aspect of the groups makes learning very enjoyable as opposed to ‘hard’, which it can sometimes be if one struggles on one's own.
