Hello,

A friend of mine is changing careers and is about to complete her MSc in Development studies (Birkbeck, Uni of London). She is now looking for some meaningful voluntary work experience abroad this summer. She is fluent in French and ideally would like to volunteer in west/central/east Africa. She is particularly interested in HIV/AIDS issues, refugees/migrants, prostitution, CSR and corporate trade, although she is happy to hear about any other opportunities. Although she has taught English abroad before, she is now keen to broaden her experience and move away from this. 

Isabelle has worked for the British Council and for several different charities and organisations in the UK, with experience which includes working with migrants and refugees in the UK on health and welfare issues (homelessness and female sex worker volunteering), volunteer co-ordination, marketing, comms, fundraising and business development. 

 
She is available between mid-May and the end September and is looking for a placement of between 1-3 months. She would be able to fund travel and living costs herself (assuming living costs would be modest).
