A welcome return
for Something Nasty In The Woodshed following their triumphant
sshows last year. The band won over a new audience and
made new friends with their their unique sound and delivery that
saw people leaping to their feet and dancing at the end of the show.
This is
traditional music with a difference. Something Nasty
in the Woodshed deliver a potent mix of drum-driven electric and
acoustic instruments with the emotive sound of the great highland
bagpipes. Their gut-punching sound has captivated audiences
wherever they have played with a mix of self-penned storybook
songs and revamped traditional themes.
Taking the jigs
and reels from the attic of their ancestors and plugging them into
the national grid, their following grows and grows and by the end
of each set the audience is often louder than the band!
One of the
finest and most exciting bands on the folk festival circuit return
to The Greystones on Saturday
23rd November 2013.
Not to be missed!
