  1. Former student of Cliff”s at Heriot- Watt 1984 -1986. Cliff taught me the principles of Planning. Pragmatic and always passionate. Planning has lost its way. Town Centre Management is losing its focus, BID’s are taking over but I still have my doubts about privatising town centres. Best regards to Cliff. This has given me hope!!!
    Kind regards to all.

    • Good to hear from you Gillian. US expereience with BIDS suggests you are right to have reservations. Never lose hope! Best wishes, Cliff.

  2. Wonderful to hear from you. Michael Bach attends our London Region ATCM meetings and attempts to keep us on the ball with what is happening in the world of planning. i was made redundant last year and am going it alone! If you need an inexpensive enthusiastic researcher I’m your woman!!! Contributed to the Markets 21 document – NABMA wesite. They are going down the tubes in the UK.

  3. Cliff,
It is so good to see you are blogging, I always look forward to hearing your thoughts on developments in urban planning, now I don’t have to wait til I get back from Asia!
    Keep it up!
