Why choose a singer to perform at my wedding?
- To give your service the special atmosphere that can only be achieved with live performance
- As a surprise thank you “gift” for your guests
- To add character and atmosphere to a civil ceremony which is otherwise very short without music
- To make the service more personal, special & memorable
When should a singer perform?
The most popular choice is during the signing of the register. Other options are:
- At the start of the wedding to set the scene
- For the arrival of the bride
- In place of a hymn
- During a candle lighting ceremony
- During communion
- While the bride and groom exit

How many songs should I choose?
It depends on which music you choose and when you want them performed. As a guide at most weddings 2 or 3 songs are performed, usually during the signing of the register
Can I choose a song that is not on the list?
Yes you can choose any song you like providing it is available in a suitable key for me to sing
What Languages do you sing in?
All songs can be sung in the original language, Welsh or any other preference providing translation is available
How do I know which songs to chose?
It depends on your personal preferences and what is appropriate for your style of wedding. Most clients choose a mix of traditional and classical or light music which works very well.
Clients usually browse my song list, listen to the Free sample CD and discuss options with me before deciding.
This is all included in your fee. I can also share real life examples of other weddings with you and am also happy to make suggestions/recommendations for you

Can I have a religious music in a civil ceremony?
By Law no religious music may be performed during a civil wedding service.
Any song choices should be agreed with your registrar in advance. But there are numerous classical,
jazz and love songs you can select for the civil ceremony which are perfect with harp, piano or String Quartet
What about the accompaniment?
We will discuss together according to what is most appropriate for your choice of music and wedding
At a Religious Ceremony: At a church ceremony a singer is usually accompanied by the church organist on organ or piano. Alternatively a harpist or string quartet could also accompany the singer.
Also, some songs can be performed unaccompanied or with a classical backing track on CD if appropriate for the venue.
At a Civil Ceremony:
If a harpist, string quartet or pianist are also performing at the venue I will liaise with them to rehearse and prepare your song choices.
This works particularly well in civil wedding ceremonies which are very short without musical interludes.
Also, some songs can be performed unaccompanied or with a classical backing track on CD depending on the suitability for the venue.
Celebration Songs! Is able to offer Harp and Voice Packages and can also recommend other musicians including String Quartets and Pianists.
