The whole room is the exhibit! Named after the inventor, the Ames room is designed to fool the eyes, and people in the two rear corners of the room appear to be of very different heights, one a giant, the other a midget. The perspective of the room is set up to be false, and disguises the fact that one of the corners is much further away from the viewing point than the other.
Our Ames room is small, about 3 m x 3 m, and is equipped with a viewing window and a camera / television setup, so that two people can see the effect for themselves.
