About Me

The land of Faerie is something I've been drawn to for as long as I can remember. Most children enjoy Fairytales when growing up, but I remember when I got to an age when we're told “you're a big girl now, these things don't really exist…” it never sat comfortably with me. I'd like to think I was a reasonably intelligent child, but I just wasn't ready to accept that the world held no magic anymore just because I was getting older. I didn't want to grow up if that meant closing my eyes to all the wonders there are to explore and discover, the way a child does every time it goes out to play. I'm now in my thirties and I haven't changed my mind!

I have been interested in Tattoos since I was about 12 years old. From the time I became aware of them they fascinated me. Not only the fact that we as people can decorate our skin in such a permanent way, but also the various reasons why we'd want to. With it's origins based in ancient tribal rituals, I've always believed that there is a deeper purpose for Tattoos than for purely aesthetic reasons, even if today it's on a more on a sub-conscious level. I think of it as being similar to the term “wearing your heart on your sleeve”, only this time we're wearing a little piece of our soul on our skin! In the 12 years I have been Tattooing I've worked with so many different kinds of people, who all have different reasons for getting them done. Whether it be a small design to celebrate a birthday or a transitional time in one's life to something more elaborate like the portrait of a child or a loved one now departed, each Tattoo is like a bookmark of a time in the wearer's life. Something that they can carry with them forever.

I find Tattooing very rewarding; as an artist what bigger compliment is there than for someone to want to wear your work on their skin forever.

For me , doing Faery Tattoos is even more rewarding as it's a wonderful union of two of my favourite things.

For the people who come to me for Faery/angel etc. Tattoos, I hope it's reassuring for them to know that their Tattoo Artist has an affinity to the kind of work they want done. I think the finished piece is much more satisfying if the experience they went through to obtain it was a happy, and sometimes even spiritual one.

I am very lucky that the powers that be seem to bring people to me that want the kind of artwork in their Tattoos that I love to do , but as an artist I also like (or should I say need!) to express my art in other ways.

For those of you who are familiar with my Tattoo art, this is a glimpse of my other passion in life, my Faerie side.

And for those of you who love Faeries and are perhaps not familiar with Tattoos, I hope my work can help break the misconception that Tattoos are “Thuggish” or not “Real Art”.

This website is a bridge between two worlds, somewhere to share my artwork in various other mediums as well as on skin!
