Power Running Songs

As promised, my Staten Island Half Playlist.  The actual playlist is 2.6 hours long, and I only listened to about an hour of it on race day, but there are a lot of great songs.  I will divide and  annotate this playlist slightly in attempt to make some sense out of the chaos.  In addition to giving you 2.6 hours of workout goodness, I listed my favorite power running songs of all time at the bottom (linking to youtube videos).  The list is not the end all be all, but it’s a great collection IMO.

Where do I find music?  My friends are definitely huge contributors!

This playlist is special because of all the people who contributed to it.

All amazing songs.

Frankie

A lot of these he burned for me just before the race, so I have only listened once or twice.  But clear favorites:  Memories, Bang Pop, Something Good Can WorkPumped Up Kicks is really growing on me.  While it’s not on the playlist, he also really likes Prime of Your Life.

So when I uploaded this album, I didn’t know who it was, but I knew it was AWESOME.  It’s a lot like girl talk aka AMAZING.  After some googling, I found out it was E-603—you can download his two albums for free, link below.

If you love mashups, here are some links for you.

Those referenced above included

  1. E-603 (who will keep body and soul together until Gillis finally releases a new album)
  2. Super Mash Bros
  3. The Hood Internet
  4. Easter Egg
  5. Speaky
  6. Dj Earworm
