Debra and David Rixon have produced another spectacular walking film. First opened in 1980, the West Highland Way passes through some of Scotland's most beautiful scenery.

Recorded in May 2005 during a spell of exceptionally fine weather they make the challenging journey from Glasgow, Scotland's largest city; past the biggest loch, Loch Lomond; and underneath the highest mountain, Ben Nevis, before reaching Fort William.

On their travels they visit Glengoyne whisky distillery, the island of Inchcailloch, an RSPB nature reserve, and the Drovers' Inn for a memorable evening. National Park Rangers and local folk give advice, and proudly tell of their heritage. Debra and David return back from Fort William to Glasgow on the famous West Highland Line railway. Whilst researching, planning and walking the trail we found valuable help from our Rucksack Reader publication which we always kept with us.
