Design.... the process

The process

What does it involve?.. How does it work?

All Garden Designers work in slightly different ways. This is what WE do:

  • SITE VISIT
We travel to clients throughout East Anglia, London and occasionally further afield. Visiting you in your garden and listening to what you have in mind is the designers starting point. From the initial site visit where we survey the site, discuss ideas, take measurements and photographs, we come back and produce several alternative proposals in sketchplan form which we send off for you to consider at your leisure.
  • SCALE DRAWN PLANS
We produce hand drawn plans to an appropriate scale for the site and send you copies of these and any drawings or photographs altogether in a presentation document folder.
  • TIME TO REFLECT
When you are ready, we can get together for a second meeting. Here we review the ideas together, discuss any alterations, look at materials, plants etc and arrive at a final plan which can then be drawn up and costed.
  • FINAL PLANS
The final plans will be sent to you with our invoice for the design service to that stage.
  • OFFERING CONSTRUCTIVE HELP
Having a detailed scale plan to work from means landscaping jobs can be priced, and quotes compared, like with like. Having experience in building gardens ourselves means that we can
specify quality materials to suit each project and advise on the best construction methods.
  • We aim to recommend, or find you, landscape contractors who will turn your plans into reality.
  • We can also offer a project management service liaising between the contractor and client to ensure the work runs smoothly and site visits to ensure quality is maintained.
  • Whatever level of help and support you need with your garden — we can help.
