Girlstart After School, or Club Girlstart, directly reaches girls, but also supports whole-school change, and includes all of these elements:

· Weekly hands-on, informal STEM activities—TEKS aligned—at each school.
· Professional development sessions offered for all teachers in each school (1x/semester).
· Monthly parent association meetings that supports parents/grandparents as their
daughters/granddaughters learn about STEM (includes electives/college/career support).
· Science / Math Nights at each school.
· Free registration for all Girlstart After School club members to attend Girlstart’s
annual Girls in STEM conference (part of the Expanding Your Horizons Network).
· Pedagogic, curriculum and strategic support to science fairs.
