I sincerely apologize to all my friends. I attempted to sign on to Boxbe, a service which claims to intercept SPAM emails on your Gmail account. I should have “googled” the company first! It sounded to good to be true, especially for FREE. It IS too good to be true. Boxbe is a giant address-harvesting machine. I’m so sorry to have involved my nearest and dearest friends in this scheme. I have closed my account and done everything I could before doing so to remove my contacts from their lists. No assurances, of course.
This is apparently an on going problem for Boxbe. Here is the reply from one blog:
“Sorry for any trouble that we may have caused. You can opt out of future invites from Boxbe by going here – https://www.boxbe.com/unsubscribe
Cheers,
Randy Stewart
Boxbe Product Manager”

Thanks, Greg, very much for this post.
I sent an email to a client and got back
an email from boxbe dot com with an ‘Action Required’ in the subject line.
I promptly called the client *** who did NOT get my email yet *** as it was being held up, somehow, by boxbe.
I then googled it and found you post.
You have saved hundreds, if not thousands, of others from the same fate.

I tried to get Boxbe of my back to no avail.
So I had a need to change my password, well that did it! Of course I immediately received an automated BOXBE email with a link to re-sign because they already knew I changed my password. I know PW changes can be a hassle, but nowhere near the hassle of what BOXBE did to my friends.
Change your password for a week or so and zazoooom BOXBE is gone.
You will have to do this to any email addys that you voluntarily gave up when you were being helped by BOXBE–lol.
Good riddance to Boxbe.
I tired their so called unsubscribe to no avail.

Thanks, All
I should have known better and fell for it. I’ve used your email template to cut a warning and apology message. I’ve also changed my password. Will come back with an update in a couple of weeks. It’s good we have a community knowledge base contributed by you guys.

Another sucker who failed to research before susbscribibg to Boxbe ( aka pariah). I’ve delayed far too long ( I subscribed last year) and now can’t unsubscribe despite the instructions given by Boxbe. I also forgot my password and have not had a reply from Boxbe. I am at my wits end. Pearls of wisdom anyone?
