Kristin Smith


was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and began a singing career at the tender age of six. Her musical ability enabled her to tour Europe with her high school choir. While attending Eastern Illinois University she directed the gospel choir for four years. She graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and is now an educator with the Chicago Public School System. Currently Kristin is completing a Master's Program in Biblical Studies.She is also an ordained minister and praise and worship leader at God’s Love and Faith Ministries in Country Club Hills, Il.


Her talent has been displayed on BobbyJones' New Artist Showcase. She also performed at the National Gospel Annoncers Guild Showcase. The African Festival in Upland, California featured her as an artist. She has shared the stage with Darryl Coley, Tonex, Dorrinda Clark Cole and Andrea Crouch. She was a participant in Leann Faine’s video “Conqueror” which aired on BET. Her vocal talents were also used as a part of the gospel musical stage “Tell Hell I Ain’t Coming” at the Regal Theatre featuring Vickie Winans. Recently she was a finalist for a Singing Competetion with MC Marketing.

Kristin comes from a family of performers. She performed in Harlem, New York in a musical tribute to her aunt, the late Dinah Washington. In addition, she has been featured in musical tributes to the memory of Dinah Washington across the United States.

She is an active member of the Chicago Area Gospel Announcer’s Guild. Her radio show “Praisefest” on WSSD 88.1FM “The Music Station” is an inspiration to all listeners.

Kristin’s mission is to sing songs of love and hope to reach lost souls for Christ. “True Vine” is her first project avlailable.
