314: meow!

I realised I’ve been posting really random posts on this blog quite a few times this week only because’ it’s the holidays (recess week). It’s ending pretty soon but I’m glad for this mini break between the semester. I can sense that upcoming weeks (all the way until the exams) are going to be jam packed with tests every week, dispensing practicals (oh no we have to physically counsel this time round!), preparation for FYP oral defense and poster presentation. Oh wells, it’s still the holidays! Thank goodness for this recess week because I can finally have some me-time. I remember recess week last semester was terrible (the worst ever) because I had to go down to lab from dawn to dusk every day.

Anyway, I just want to remind myself how happy and fortunate and blessed I am. I truly am happy. I truly am happy being who I am. In some points of life, you meet crazy people, people who try to ‘tear’ you down, people who try to make life difficult for you, people who just make others around them feel terrible. And most of the time, I choose to ignore them and lead a happy world of my own.  That’s because I know that when life gets tough, I know I have family and friends who would stand by me always, never doubting me. Love them! (: Just like how I would be willing to do anything and everything for all my loved ones as well.

I started thinking about the happy little bubble I was in back in secondary school. A JC friend of mine used to comment that we’re like “温室里的小花” and at that point of time, I didn’t quite agree with him. After going through JC and now uni, I realised that it’s pretty true. I realised that I missed those days when we used to run along the walkways and corridors, turfing, collecting all the twigs and punk, setting up the fire for outdoor cooking, practising footdrill in the basement carpark during recess time… secondary school life was so memorable, so eventful. It’s the place where I had so much fun, the best four years of my lifetime. The four years I would never forget EVER. Blessed with awesome classmates and wonderful teachers, what more can I ask for? I miss and love secondary school life.

Well, after going onto JC and uni, I realised that with age comes more responsibilities. We were not able to play and laugh as freely as we were back in secondary school. Life became really dull and mundane and our studies became our top priority. Friends became people with agenda, no longer the loyal faithful ones you can count on for anything and everything. But still, at each point of life, I’m still thankful for the close few who stood by me, for the new friends I’ve met along the way…

I’m proud to say that we’ve aged gracefully into our twenties. Here’s to many more years to come!

I truly am happy to be who I am. No one can pull me down 🙂

I shall end off with a new song from Big Bang! I’ve been waiting for Big Bang’s comeback for years and they are finally back. Their previous album was released in 2008 (with subsequent other solo projects that followed). This is my favourite track off the latest 4th mini album, entitled “Tonight”.

263: I Can’t By 2PM

I’m aware that I’ve been neglecting this blog of mine, for about 1 month. I’m really sorry but I’ve just been really busy. I wasn’t expecting myself to be that busy. There’s just so much school work and yes, the final year project. The project that turned my entire life upside down the past many many weeks – months. I barely have enough sleep each day, worrying about my project, the results, the deadlines. I get stuck in the lab from 8am in the morning up until 8pm – 9pm in the evening. Lunch is often a packed sandwich or some bread bought from the canteen. I don’t think I’ve been eating well these days but well, I did lose some weight. And besides that, there was still the rest of schoolwork with the many tests and CAs (which totally count to the final grade since there are a few modules which are 100% CAs). I think I’m barely coping and I get really stressed. But up until now, I think I’m doing fine. Still coping well, despite all the madness going on in my life right now. I’m hoping it’ll stay this way.

I especially like this new song from 2PM! It’s just so different! Not one of those run-of-the-mill songs that they usually sing. The other songs just sound so alike to their previous hits like Again and Again. So this new song “I Can’t” is definitely really unique! I really like it and I can forsee myself listening to this on repeat. The single that they are promoting this time round “I’ll Be Back” is not too bad too BUT I would much prefer if they promoted this song instead. ): That aside, I’m proud that I can understand this song! It’s proof that my korean has improved! I’m currently doing Korean II as a module in school! After this module, we’ll be awarded with a certificate. And I’m probably ready to take the beginner’s level of the Korean Language Proficiency Test (KLPT). Woohoo:)

Anyway, I don’t have many food photos in my camera! Haven’t been baking, cooking or eating out much. I don’t have the time to do so! But will update the my most recent baking/cooking escapade (from all the stress, the books and the lab) when I have the time to do so. It was crazy but fun! After a long tiring day in school until 6pm last Friday, I rushed down to the supermarket to get the ingredients. And made a pasta salad (that the friends were raving about, I was really surprised that it turned out so delightful too), baked some potato wedges and baked a flourless chocolate birthday cake in 2 hours!

150: 너 때문에 미쳐 (SBS Inkigayo 280210)

Yes, T-ara performed their song, 너 때문에 미쳐 on Inkigayo this afternoon! Alright, it’s pre-recorded. But I really really love this song! I’ve been listening to it everywhere I go. OMO, Eunjung’s Dadada part at 2:28 is super cute! She did something different this time round and it’s super adorable! I think Eunjung is now my favourite T-ara member! 🙂

A lot of people have been complaining that they are practically lip-syncing. And I can understand where they are coming from! But I really do not think they are lip-syncing cause you can hear their actual singing if you increase the volume. I really think the backtracks are way too loud. For yesterday’s Music Core and today’s Inkigayo, backtrack used is way too loud. For Music Bank (on Friday), you can hear their actual singing!

Besides, 너 때문에 미쳐, they performed their other track from the Braking Heart repackaged album, 내가 너무 아파. Nice song too! 🙂

And their interview before their performance, with Inkigayo MCs, Taecyeon and Wooyoung and Sulli. Catch Eunjung (and Hyomin and Soyeon) sing from 0:28 onwards! And Eunjung was amazing at 0:31-33! 🙂

I know I should mention about how disappointed I am that Jaebeom is not coming back to 2PM for good! Yes, for good! Really really sad news for 2PM fans. But I wasn’t as disappointed and upset as I was the first time I heard that Jaebeom left 2PM. I am pretty sure the rest of 2PM must be really sad cause they have been waiting for the return of their leader and I can tell they miss him a lot. But it’s unexpected that Jaebeom is leaving 2pm permanently. Nobody wanted this to happen either. I hope Jaebeom and the rest of 2PM will continue to stay strong and fight on! I’m still with 2PM 🙂 Fighting!

146: 너 때문에 미쳐 (MBC Music Core 27/02/10)

Yes, the Music Core performance is out! I love the dance at the chorus part. And from a female perspective, I think Eun-jung is hot! I especially like the individual parts that she sang and her rap (especially the “dadada” part at 2:27, I think it’s cute). For this performance, I thought she has the best vocals of all.  Ji-yeon was not bad too. Hyo-min and So-yeon too:)

I’m hooked onto this song!

145: 너 때문에 미쳐

Today, this post will be dedicated to my current favourite korean girl group, T-ara. When they first debuted, I was impressed by their official debut single, 거짓말 (Lies). I mean, they can really sing well (well all, except maybe for Qri and Boram). And then, their next release, TTL (Time To Love) was also pretty good! The song was catchy and the vocals and rapping were not bad! They released their full album (Absolute First Album) last year and I was also impressed by the songs selected. And of course, the really adorable and much promoted Bo Peep Bo Peep was on the charts (and it topped the chart a few times too).

As for the members, I like So-yeon because I think she has the best vocals in the whole group. I like Eun-jung too (the leader, she’s pretty cool and charismatic! Like her vocals and rapping too!), Ji-yeon (she’s like miniature Kim Tae Hee and I enjoyed her acting in the kdrama, God of Study) and also Hyo Min (this girl can rap!). Each of the members have their own charm. 🙂

And yes, they recently released another mini album, Braking Heart. I love the first song (the second song too)! 너 때문에 미쳐 (I Go Crazy Because of You). The song is so addictive and so catchy! Love the new concept the girls are having this time round. This time they are going for “sexy” and I think they nailed it. It’s really interesting that they experiment with different concepts for their albums!

MV for 너 때문에 미쳐

The Live Performance of 너 때문에 미쳐 on KBS Music Bank (26/02/10)

I got to praise their efforts for singing live during the Music Bank performance and not resorting to lip-synching. I thought So-yeon, Ji-yeon, Eun-jung and Hyo-min did quite a good job singing live. Effort was commendable. Qri (or was it Boram?) was bad. The song seems pretty hard to sing with lots of auto-tuning and electropop beats. AND HOW COULD I FORGET? I love the dance! I think the dance steps will be quite a hit (especially the chorus part)! And yes, I see more of So-yeon in the live performance (versus the MV). And Eun-jung, the leader is pretty cool. I like her short hair:) Nice! I want my hair like that too! It’s refreshing to see someone with short hair cause’ everyone seems to be having their long straight hair (either dyed or not) and it’s pretty hard to differentiate one from another.

I know Kara is debuting with Lupin this week too. But I don’t like the song as much as T-ara’s 너 때문에 미쳐! And I think SNSD’s “Oh!” is rubbish. Why is SNSD’s “Oh!” still #1 on the music charts? I hope T-ara gets #1 soon! Fighting! I can’t wait for their performances on SBS Inkigayo and MBC Music Core this weekend!

144: Pasta (파스타)

I’m currently so hooked onto this Korean drama, Pasta (파스타)! I watched a tiny bit of Episode 1 many many weeks ago but I wasn’t persistent enough, so I did not persist beyond the first 20 minutes of the drama. But it’s really really nice! I’m currently into my 12th episode of this drama (Episode 16 was broadcasted in Korea just this Tuesday and there are 20 episodes in total). And I can’t help but share what I feel about this drama!

The storyline

I am a huge huge fan of food dramas! I love food dramas and films – both japanese and korean! Love the food showcased in the drama! Pasta is essentially about an italian restaurant in Korea – La Sfera! But instead of focusing on the food (the pasta and all), the drama focuses more on human relationships (romance, friendship, employee-subordinate etc). But the most important thing is that the content/storyline is not really heavy! Pasta is a really light-hearted drama! And my very first (alright, second) impression is that it has great similarities to The 1st Shop of Coffee Prince and Triple. The storylines for all three dramas are pretty light! And yes, I read somewhere that the producers of Pasta are also the producers of Coffee Prince and Triple. Hmm, no wonder I felt they were all quite similar in styles. And yes, there is not devious plans by evil minions and really minimal interferences from the second male and female leads. Good:) I like that.

The acting

I’m impressed. I’m (again) very impressed by Gong Hyo Jin. I first saw her in Thank You (고맙습니다), another one of my favourite favourite korean dramas. And was already very impressed by her acting and her chemistry with the male lead (Jang Hyuk), the child actress (Seo Shin Ae) and veteran actor (Shin Goo). Looks wise, Gong Hyo Jin is not exceptionally pretty but she won me over with her acting in both Thank You (고맙습니다)  and Pasta (파스타). I really like how she portrays her character (Seo Yoo Kyung) in Pasta. She comes across as very natural in her acting, not overly cutesy (not the OTT act-cute kind). And she has a very natural charm!

And the male lead, Lee Seon Gyun. This is the first time I’m really impressed by his acting and his chemistry with the female lead, Gong Hyo Jin. And yes, Lee Seon Gyun was both in Coffee Prince and Triple. But in the two dramas, he failed to make a really deep impression in me. But in Pasta, I felt he shone. He has awesome chemistry with Gong Hyo Jin! And I really enjoy watching them banter, laugh and flirt! Their relationship in the drama progresses really naturally and I really like the flow of things in this drama. It’s the first time I felt that Lee Seon Gyun (in his role, as Chef/Choi Hyun Wook) is really yummy (much more than the pasta in the drama). Love this couple!:)

Then, there’s the other two leads, Alex Chu (of Clazziquai) and Lee Ha Nui/Honey Lee (Miss Universe 3rd Runner Up). Alex is also yummy. Loved him in the variety show, We Got Married. Back then, he was the ideal romantic guy to date. And he is one of my favourite Kpop singer and I really like Clazziquai a lot too! And this is his first “huge” drama (I think). Not too bad for a newbie. Lee Ha Nui is no doubt, gorgeous. And really smart in real life as well (SNU graduate) and a really impressive family history. This is her 2nd drama, after Partner. I thought her acting was not too bad too. Hmm, after all, the real yummy part of this drama is the Lee Seon Gyun-Gong Hyo Jin couple!

The other sidekicks/actors/actresses in this drama are not bad too. Good fillers for the drama at times and can be amusing at times.

The music

How can I not forget about the music and the soundtrack? LOVE LOVE LOVE the soundtrack! Very Coffee Prince-ish and Triple-ish. And I really enjoy the instrumental pieces that accompany many scenes in the drama! Really cute and light-hearted. I like!:)

Overall

I’M HOOKED! 🙂 Alright, I’ll go back to watching my Pasta. And I have a sudden urge to cook some pasta for lunch too! Tomato sauce with meatballs and mushrooms! Hmm.

And and I have to put this down! I LOVE THE OPENING TITLE OF THE DRAMA TOO! Just so cute! One of my favourite drama openings!

Now now now, I have two dramas on the list. What list, you may ask? Hmm, list of korean drama DVD sets to get. The first is IRIS and now, Pasta. I wonder if IRIS is out in DVD already since it’s been some time since it ended its run. But I haven’t stepped into a video shop for ages and I haven’t gone shopping (online shopping’s not counted) for ages. I haven’t got the time to go shopping. I think I’ll need to go down to the nearest mall soon (next week?). IRIS and PASTA:) Yay!

128: 이 사람이다

‘This Is The Person’ (이 사람이다) MV by Kim Jong Kook

This is the cutest music video I’ve ever seen! It really made my day! Plus, the song is nice! Love all the songs in Kim Jong Kook’s new album. Plus, the lyrics to the song is nice!:) Makes me all dreamy dreamy dreamy.

Part II

After the rather delicious oatmeal raisin cookie from Spinelli and feeling restless with a huge bar of Nestle dark chocolate in the refrigerator, I decided to bake some giant chocolate chunk cookies!

Baked the chocolate chunk cookie using the recipe adapted from Joy of Baking. Reduced the sugar by half and replaced half cup of the plain flour with raw wheat germ.

It was (in one word), lovely! 🙂

As many may know, I am a HUGE HUGE HUGE HUGE fan of Family Outing (패밀리가 떴다). I love everyone there! Jae-Seok, Hyo-Ri, Soo-Ro, Jong-Shin, Jong-Kook, Dae-Sung, Chun-Hee, Ye-Jin, Hae-Jin! I’m sad that the original cast is leaving FO. But I’m looking forward to the new Family Outing (Season 2) too! I’m looking forward to seeing Jo Kwon, Taecyeon, Yoona in it! I think Jo Kwon and Taecyeon would be perfect in FO, especially Jo Kwon. The other members include Yoon Sang-Hyun (the lead actor in My Fair Lady), Kim Won-Hee (Jae-Seok’s friend and one of the guest during FO Season 1), Shin Bong-Sun (of many variety shows!) and gag man Ji Sang-Ryul. Hopefully, it wouldn’t disappoint! 🙂

And recently, Kook-Jong (Jong-Kook sshi) released his new album, (6집 Eleventh Story). I do listen to his songs but they aren’t really at the top of my favourite songs list. They were pretty alright, I guess. But this album surprised me. The selection of songs were really good! I’m listening to the album as I type this entry. 🙂 And I’m choosing two songs which I thought were pretty good and I like from the new album!

Kim Jong Kook (김종국) – 못 잊어 (Cant Forget)

Kim Jong Kook (김종국) – 다 알면서 (Knowing Everything) feat. Soya

113: Back to Reality

I’m back from a day of wedding celebrations. It has been long since my maternal side had a wedding. And it was alright, as usual. I had fun with the cousins. But the discomfort of having to wear contact lenses (you know, contacts make my eyes way too dry), the air-con in the ballroom (I was freezing cold) and the dress just make me less at ease and quite uncomfortable. But well, I got through fine.

It’s back to school tomorrow. And I’m really dreading it. I dread facing the 108 people in my class and having to pretend to be sociable all again. There are days when you just don’t feel sociable. I really dread facing the people in school, the crowd in school, the crowded public buses etc. Sigh but it’s reality:) I’m going to be homesick tomorrow. At least, I’m glad that I have my family, my rock. And my music (music calms me, it’s therapeutic). And a really wild imagination (I think I’m a dreamer).

But I’m glad school starts in the afternoon tomorrow and it’s only a 2 hour lecture. That means I can sleep in a little while longer. And I’m praying really hard that my 5 weeks of agony won’t come to waste! I hope that today will just be a tiny break and please do not appear. Please lie low. Please do not appear.

Something really nice. Taeyang and Thelma Aoyama’s Fall in Love PV is out!

111: Granola Batch No. 3

Just some lovely pictures of the third batch of granola. With the Daddy and Mummy eating from the granola container as well, there was a need to increase the supply of granola. Hence, I decided to make MORE!

The third batch of granola has rolled oats, wheatgerm, chopped almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, flaxseeds, baked cinammon green apple and raisins. And it was mixed with 2tbsp of wild organic honey, 1 tbsp of peanut butter and 1.5 tbsp of canola oil.

And something really nice to end off! The japanese track “Fall in Love” has finally been leaked! The reason why I’m looking forward to it is because there’s Tae Yang, together with Thelma Aoyama! I like this song the very first instant I listen to it! I like the harmony of both their voices! I think this song will be my current earworm!:)

85: Bangkok, The Holidays and a January Wedding

This is going to quite a lengthy and image heavy post!

I’m back from a 3D2N free and easy trip to Bangkok and it was quite fun! It was great wandering around Bangkok all by ourselves. The hotel we were staying in was rather convenient and rather accessible to the many shopping malls by foot. Ate some really nice, yummy and rather cheap food in Bangkok too 🙂

Korean pop culture is rather hot in Thailand and most Kpop groups choose Thailand as one of their stopovers when they have their concerts. I caught sight of Nichkhun (of 2PM) on the Tourism Thailand poster since Nichkhun is essentially a Thai.

And recently, 2PM filmed a Thai crackers CF. I caught sight of this advert at Siam Square. 2PM (with Jae-beom!). Hmm, I didn’t manage to capture Chan-sung in this picture since the other glass door refuses to close and we were in a hurry to leave the place.

Had my first lunch at Fuji Japanese Restaurant at Siam Paragon. I had the Sushi Set (170 baht/ SGD 7.10) which was really cheap. It was really good and satisfying. The set came with miso soup and a cold tofu appetizer.

My travel mate/partner had the Fuji bento set (230 baht/SGD 9.60). It came with a little of everything. We think it’s the bento set for the indecisive. It’s for people who cannot decide on what they wish to eat and just want to sample a little of everything.

The next morning, we had a buffet breakfast at the hotel we were staying in. Had really yummy muesli and yoghurt. And this was a picture I captured of what I had for one of the servings. Some greens, a mushroom and cheese egg omelette, waffle with honey and 2 seaweed sushi.

That evening, we had dinner at Platinum Mall food court and I had pad thai (65 baht/ SGD 2.70). It was really really good! I can’t believe that I have not tried pad thai before in Singapore.

My travel partner had crepe with pudding and chocolate ice cream for dessert and it looked good.

We had japanese food for lunch the next day too. We ate at Tagoto Japanese Restaurant in MBK. The food was slightly pricier but it was still rather delicious. I had the bana sushi set (210 baht/ SGD 8.80) and it consisted of udon soup, a bowl of different varieties of sashimi and rice, cold tofu appetizer and pickles.

My partner had the nabe set (260 baht/ SGD 10.90) and it consisted of nabe (hot steampot with veggies and fish), noodles and some sushi.

h

The sets came with either coffee or vanilla ice-cream. And we chose vanilla ice-cream. The vanilla ice-cream was yummy too! It didn’t taste like those generic supermarket vanilla ice-cream. It was really refreshing on such a hot day. We thought it was nice!

And we had this thai snack at MBK. I remember eating this when I visited Bangkok 10 years ago. This is the crispy crepe with sweet cream and coconut golden thread. My partner who tried this thought that the sweet cream was really sweet. I had the one with coconut golden thread and raisins. It was nice. But do try the crispy crepe with just the grated coconut and coconut golden thread. These crepes are a mere 10baht/ SGD 0.40.

My friend bought this to share. Lay’s cheese and onion potato chips. The chips are not too bad. They have ruffles! I like ruffled chips.

And this was the low fat drinking yoghurt I bought with the last of my coins (10baht) at the airport before the flight home to Singapore.

Bangkok can be fun, if you have great company. Plus it is really easy to get around. They have the airport express bus located at the Bangkok Int’l Airport. You just have to tell the people at the Airport Express Bus booth where you are planning to go and they will inform you of the bus to take and the stop to alight. The tickets are 150baht/ SGD 6.30.

And the hotel I’m staying in (Novotel Bangkok on Siam Square) is really really convenient. The Siam BTS (kind of like our MRT train) station is just located in front of the hotel. And the malls (Siam Paragon, Siam Discovery, MBK, Central World, Platinum Mall) are easily accessible via the skywalk (the bridges) that connect the different malls and BTS stations. With a map (easily available at the airport for free!), one can get around the city central of Bangkok with great ease.

The shopping was okay. The clothes were cheap! Over at Platinum Mall, they cater for wholesale and we have to get 2 or 3 pieces or more to get the special rate. But I didn’t manage to buy many for myself. I wonder why though. I bought quite a few at Siam Square though. Siam Square consists of many tiny shops and it’s a congregation of different local thai designers. The clothes there are only available in limited quantity and were not very expensive too (plus I don’t have to purchase more than 3 per shop). I bought quite a few for my sister too. And I like the night markets! They sell really unique trinkets and clothes. And really delicious looking street food (although I didn’t dare to try any).

And I do agree that Bangkok comes to life at night. The night markets are definitely a unique feature. Plus, the festive mood (the Christmas-y mood) was definitely present all around the city central of Bangkok.

Hmm, but do book your air tickets early if you do want them cheaper! I travelled by JetStar Light and it was quite a pleasant journey.

Anyway, I spent the afternoon today over at a bridal shop with my uncle and aunt (to-be), together with my grandparents, aunt, cousins, mum and sister. My uncle’s bridal package consisted of 2 dresses (supposedly for the bridesmaids) and he wanted me and my sister to choose a dress each to wear for his wedding dinner. I chose a simple ivory knee-length tube dress that I thought was really sweet. Since everyone agreed that it suits me and the dress was quite sweet, I decided that that would the dress I’ll be wearing for the wedding. My sister chose a purple dress since she prefers darker colours (as apparently, dresses in darker tones made one look slimmer?). I really like the dress I picked! I will definitely upload an image of the dress I’ll be wearing for my uncle’s wedding in January!:)

I’m being all dreamy again. All this talk about marriage and wedding just makes me want to find my Mr Right, date for a few years and settle down thereafter. And before that, the perfect proposal and the perfect wedding. And after marriage, having a close-knit family with a doting husband and adorable kids! Blissful:)

Hmm, maybe 10 years down the road. I’ll be there. For now, I’m too busy with my studies. 🙂

72: 태양’s 웨딩드레스

And YES, the moment I have been waiting for. Taeyang’s Comeback performance for Wedding Dress on SBS Inkigayo! As usual, it did not disappoint. Pardon me for my fangirl moments! Dong Young Bae, Fighting:)

I’m so addicted to this song now. This song is on loop (on my mp3 player), together with the OST songs from IRIS.

71: Life Goes On…

Yes, more pumpkins and carrots. This was one of the dishes for dinner last night, stir fried pumpkins with dried shrimps. It was cooked by Mummy.

P121109_19.07[01]

And some steamed corn for tea this afternoon.

P131109_11.36[01]

Bought this box of langue de chat cookies from the supermarket. My parents thought it was rather sweet. I remember trying this before months/years(?) ago and it was quite sweet. But it’s alright since I was craving for something sweet. They have to last for the entire of next week! LIMITATIONS, Limitations, Rina.

P131109_20.48[01]

Each cookie is individually wrapped! I don’t think the taste of these cookies will beat the Shiroi Koibito 白い恋人 from Hokkaido (OMG I miss that place!). But the 白い恋人cookies are so rare in Singapore and rather expensive. These are cheaper and much more convenient alternatives. Alright, SOMEDAY I AM GOING TO BAKE MY OWN LANGUE DE CHAT COOKIES! Maybe after the exams…

P131109_20.49[01]

Life goes on as usual. I wake up at 7am in the morning, have my breakfast and read the papers. I’ll start studying by 8am all the way until 12noon and then I’ll start preparing for my lunch. After the lunch break (around 1230 or 1pm), I’ll continue studying until 6 pm. Then I’ll have a break, take a shower, watch some TV (if there are nice programmes on TV) or surf the net. I’ll start studying again at around 8pm and continue until I’ve finished studying what I have allocated for the day.

Life’s kind of monotonous. But it goes on. And to cheer myself (and my pink friend) up, I got Patrick a friend. It’s none other than Spongebob. I mean, they just go together so naturally. Patrick and Spongebob, the pair of really good rather retarded friends. 🙂

P131109_22.18

Just watched Music Bank on KBS just now. I was really excited for 2PM’s comeback stage and Baek Ji Young’s special stage! The live performance for 2PM was awesome, it blew me away. It was amazing and I could tell that they put in a lot of effort. The song and performance were awesome too! There’s a reason why their fans are still so supportive of them. I’m a fan of theirs too. Amidst all the controversy, I think they did a great job. I know we all miss Jae-Beom but I have great faith that he will return (just as JYP has mentioned on a variety programme) and rejoin 2pm. Read Allkpop’s article here.

And another AWESOME AWESOME performance by Baek Ji Young! She is one of my favourite Kpop singers cause I think she has a great voice. I love her voice and all her songs! She performed on Music Bank today for a special IRIS performance. As you all know, Baek Ji Young sings the main theme for IRIS. That song (잊지말아요 “Don’t Forget) is amazing stuff. She sang it on Music Bank live and it just blew me away (as always). She can really sing live. I’m a fan. A happy fan:)

Here’s Baek Ji Young’s Music Bank performance of 잊지말아요! (:) beams)

And yes, TaeYang (from Big Bang) just released another song off his new album. The long awaited “Wedding Dress”! I was really anticipating the release of this song since I heard the mini preview from his previous MV of “Where U At”. In my opinion, “Wedding Dress” did not disappoint. I thought it was really nice (and catchy) although it sounds a little melancholic as well, but it has a TaeYang vibe to it. I like it 🙂 TaeYang is definitely my favourite member out of Big Bang.

Here’s the MV for TaeYang’s Wedding Dress.

49: Colour My World

I am so tempted to colour my hair again.

I’m trying to perk up my really boring black hair! The brown highlights in my hair from yesteryears ago have mysteriously disappeared. There’s this really innovative Japanese product, Liese Bubble Hair Colour. The hair dye is like a bubble foam, so by ‘shampooing’ your hair with the bubbles/foam, you can dye your hair! How amazing is that! A classmate of mine tried and the colour turned out really nice, very natural. I’m looking at either “Dark Chocolat” or “Chestnut Brown”. I wonder if my hair will turn out brown well. I don’t want my hair overly brown too so these 2 colours seemed the most natural. Alright, maybe I’ll get it later on my way home from school. Woohoo:)

Oh yes, I’m hooked on Family Outing 패밀리가 떴다! After watching Yoo Jae-Seok on Infinity Challenge (I TOTALLY TOTALLYadore the show! I like the whole bunch in IC.), I tried watching Family Outing. I LOVE KOREAN VARIETY SHOWS! They are really really funny and shelve all those unwanted stress away. Family Outing is AWESOME! I really like Jae-Seok and Soo-ro, they are just so funny and likeable. The others are also really funny people! There’s not one single person in ‘Family’ that I do not like. There’s clumsy Chunderella, Dumber Dae-sung, Hyori, Kook-jong and Savage Ye-jin. And more recently, the two new addition, Shi-yeon and Hae-jin! I really love “Family”. They are just so funny and natural together.

I’ll probably write a more informed review of Family Outing soon.

The 3 korean variety shows that I have watched thus far and I really really like (in no specific order): Family Outing, Infinity Challenge, We Got Married 🙂
