Over the past few years, Romeo Miller has been in college, working to shed the little boy image he has portrayed. In 2001, he premiered to the world as Lil' Romeo. Many fans saw him as a rip-off of fellow child rapper, Lil' Bow Wow, but he soon built his own fan base. He grew up before people's eyes on his TeeNick series, "Romeo."

Following the run of "Romeo," Lil' Romeo dropped the lil from his name and went to college. He played basketball at UCLA and began using his real name, Romeo Miller. Now out of college, Romeo has taken over the family business, No Limit Records. Now the head of the business, Romeo Miller is taking things to a new level.

"The Cape" has been airing on NBC for the past few months. A cop drama, it has been struggling to maintain an audience. The show has been changing things up over the past few weeks to bolster viewership. Despite their efforts, the show has continued to struggle and they pulled off a major move. NBC recruited Romeo Miller to join the cast of the show.

Miller will portray the role of 'Lil' Z,' the best friend of Michael Irby's character of 'Pokerface.' NBC hopes the addition of Romeo Miller will help bring in new viewers. As previously mentioned, Romeo has a background as a Nickelodeon star and as a child rapper. Romeo Miller is hoping the role on the show will help people view him as an adult instead of the son of Master P.
