Using the Guild Bank
The guild bank is a system which allows members of the Ten Ton Hammer
(TTH) guild on the Sarlona server to withdraw and donate money and
items for use by themselves and other members.
To use the guild bank, you must be a member of the TTH guild on
Sarlona, registered on the TTH (GuildPortal) site, and a
member of the TTH Guild Web Page.
How the bank works
Items are sent to the guild banker character, Accountant. The
guild banker will sort items based on those that will be sold and those
that will be kept.
Items that are kept are those that can be used by the guild
members. Since there is limited space in the guild bank character
backpacks, etc, only certain items of a type or level will be kept.
Items that are not kept will be either sold or auctions (if it is
something that might be auctionable), and any proceeds will go to the
guild treasury.
Credit for all donations will be credited to the web page name of the
character who donated the item.
Note: If you donate an item from
a character who not associated with your web page name, credit cannot
be given to you. Here is how you associate characters to your
web page name.
You withdraw items or money from the guild bank, and they are sent to
one of your associated characters in game. The credit for the
items or money is removed from any credit you have associated with your
web page name. You cannot withdraw enough items or money to bring
you below -10 credit.
There is a bank expendable list, which is a list of items that are
expendable such as arrows, wands, and similar, which is used to deal
with these types of items differently than permanent items.
Guild Treasury funds can be used for special events or supplies for
raids, at the guild leader's discretion.
Guild treasury items and money can be withdrawn by characters.
Guidelines on donations and withdrawals
Please avoid donating items that are extremely common. Scrolls of
spells are of little use, for example, excepting certain spells, such
as raise dead or firewall. Do not donate potions or mundane (non
magical) items. The guild accepts items of all levels (such as +2
longswords), since we keep items for all levels of guild members in
stock. Do not donate any item you are not comfortable being sold
for benefit of the guild treasury.
Please do not hesistate to request items. Please do not request
items you will not need for several levels, for characters who are not
a member of the guild, or which you plan to sell. Finally, please
only request money that you need.
What things are worth:
Items are generally valued as a number of credits equal to the minimum
level of the item.
Money is donated and withdrawn at a ratio of 500 platinum = 1 credit.
Expendable items are valued as equal to the level of the item / by the
number of charges used in the item. So a wand with a miminum
level of with 30 (our of 50 charges) would be worth 4
credits. Scrolls of spells are valued at 1/5th of required level
(because they are essentially 1 use expendables)
Certain high value items are worth more than their required
levels. These are
· Dragons Shards – Flawed are worth 20
credits, Imperfect are worth 40 credits, Regular are worth 80 credits.
· Tomes - +1 tomes are worth 75 points, +2
tomes are worth 150 points.
· Collapsed Portable Holes – are worth 20
points.
Because money is difficult to value in game (some things have inflated
and deflated values), money withdrawals are subject to denial by the
guild banker.
How to:
1. Donate Items – to donate items and money to
the guild bank, you should send the item or money in game to the guild
bank, Accountant, using the in game bank system. Remember the
donating character MUST be associated with your web page name for you
to get credit for your donation.
2. Reques Items – to request an item, use the
following steps:
- Select the Bank button on the TTH guild web page.
- Select the “View Items” button. If you wish to only see
certain items, use the pull down menu to choose the specific items you
wish to see before you use the “View Items” button.
- A list of all the items you wish to see will appear. All
items are listed with the following syntax “(level required) name (any
bonus)”. For example, a (9) +3 keen longsword of wisdom (+2), if
such an item could exist, would be a longsword, with the keen ability,
would grant a +2 wisdom bonus, have a +3 enhancement bonus to hit and
damage, and have a required level of 9.
- To request an item, select the (view/request item) button to the
left of the desired item.
- A window with a detailed description will appear. The point
value is the credit cost of an item. This will always mach the
level unless this item is defined as unique, such as a dragonshard, or
otherwise.
- To request the item, select the (request item) button. A
mail will automatically be sent to the guild banker, who will mail it
to one of your in game characters within a day or two. If the
item does not arrive by then, contact the guild leader, Darkgolem.
3. Check your credit – To check your guild
credit, log onto the web page, and select the roster button.
Then, use the pull down menu that appears to select “event attendance”,
and select the “set view” button. Find your web page name on the
left of the page. The number listed under “Curr. Points" to the
far right of your name is your current bank credit.
The Bank Expendable List
Because expendable items such as wands and arrows are donated to the
bank, and these are wasteful to sell, the bank expendable list is
available to put these items to better use. All expendable items
that are wands, arrows, bolts are sent to those on the expendable
list. When one of these items are received by the guild banker,
they are sent to a character on the expendable list who is next on the
list who wants these items.
For example, if Darkgolem wants arcane wands and is on the list, and
the guild banker receives an arcane wand, the item would be sent to
Darkgolem, and a note that he had received an item put down. Once
all characters on the list who want arcane wands have received one, the
names would be reset, and the character on the top of the list would be
sent the next arcane wand.
If you wish to have your name added to the expendable list, you must be
a member of the guild web page, and should add one of your characters
names to the forum entry “Bank Expendable List” at the end of the
forum, along with what items (remember only bolts, arcane wands, divine
wands and arrows). The guild leaders will add you to the list
asap.
