Placements and internships

KWRG includes researchers at various career stages, who work together in a friendly, supportive environment. We are very enthusiastic about supporting new researchers to gain the skills and experiences they need to pursue a career in research that has a real beneficial impact on people’s lives. To achieve this we believe that it is essential to understand the goals of new researchers who work in KWRG and carefully design a balanced programme of experience that will allow them to achieve those goals. Following this approach, researchers who have worked in KWRG on placements and internships previously have been extremely successful in securing the future positions they were seeking, including positions as PhD students, Research Associates, Assistant Psychologists, and on Clinical Psychology training.

To apply for a placement in KWRG, please email me a copy of your CV and a cover letter explaining your motivations for applying. If you are successful in being shortlisted, we will invite you to an interview which may be face to face or via web call, depending on your situation.

PhD studentships

Funded PhD positions are described here when available. If you are interested in working with me to put together a competitive application for funding for a PhD, please get in touch (you would need to have a first class honours degree and a master’s degree). If you are interested in doing a PhD in my team and have your own source of funding, please get in touch.
