When I came to Keiser University, I had no idea what I was capable of doing. I knew if I made good grades and worked hard, it would look good on my resume. It would also show my girls how important an education was. So, I worked hard. KU prepared me for Pat Thomas Law Enforcement Academy and the Florida State Correctional program…I have finally reached my goal of becoming a full-time deputy, with the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.
After 8 years of service in the United States Military, I found myself without any road to follow for the future. […] Keiser University not only provided the road, they gave me a map to follow as well. […] Keiser has provided not only my education, but I was able to find a great job locally in my career field through the internship program offered through Student Services. I’m really happy with my success and I hope to have much more now that I have an education to help carry me through life.
Once I graduated, I found a job right out of college within my degree. I now proudly work for the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice.
I have had the experience of dealing with classes that accommodated my schedule of being a full-time employee as well as a full-time mother of three. The hands-on experience and the knowledge received was outstanding. I was elated by the amount of information I received in such a short period of time.
I would like to start off by saying that going back to school after 10 years was one of the best decisions I’ve made. I found out about Keiser University through a friend. One of the things I liked the most about Keiser University is their one class at a time motto, which allows students to work and take care of their families without the stress of dealing with different classes. It provides an opportunity to focus better in each course.
