The Road According To Lee

Your backstage pass to fun and excitement...

****Eyes Of Crisis 2003****

February 14th, Carilli's Cafe', Marlborough CT :

Greg Hartzell on the drums!

Look out Gary, your position is no longer secure.

Gary "Z Man" Zemanek took off for the Daytona 500 and a last minute booking gave us the opportunity to give Warren's son, Greg, a shot at filling Gary's shoes. Everyone had a great time and Greg will surely be back again for another show.

February 22nd, Nick & Gino's Downtown Cafe', Bristol CT :

Another evening of wet and icy weather did not stop a great crowd of people from hanging out till the very end to help us kick off our "Eyes Of Crisis" 2003 tour and also celebrate Donna Paul's 39th birthday. There was cake, jello shots, and plenty of dancing. We had the opportunity to make some new friends and add a few new email addresses to the growing list of fans in crisis.

March 22nd, Nick & Gino's Downtown Cafe', Bristol CT :

We never seem to learn a lesson regarding this time of year. When the college basketball playoffs (March Madness) is taking place, Connecticut rock and rollers seem to stay home glued to the TV. A small group of our friends turned out for a very up close and personal performance by the "not so fab four". We celebrated Marilyn's birthday (34 AGAIN!) and had quite a good time at her expense. This evening saw the debut of Rich's new song "Girl Like You" which was very well received by the few that stayed for the evening. While the US led invasion of Iraq provided a background of "shock and awe" on the bar television, we provided a little shock and awe of our own by means of our new light show and constantly changing sound system.

May 17th, Cafe' 9, New Haven CT :

Cafe' 9 is one of those clubs that has made a legend for itself in Connecticut. It is relatively small but many local celebrities play frequently (Christina Oldman, GE Smith, etc..). With Fred behind the bar we launched into an evening of Crisis entertainment including a few new surprises like The Beatles "Saw Her Standing There". The crowd on hand hung with us for the entire evening and had a great time. We raffled off some of the first MLC logo merchandise to come from the MLC on-line store, including a MLC Frisbee, Lunch Box, and the now infamous Thong Underwear. Pictures to be posted soon!

May 28th, Major League Records, Hartford CT :

Lee spent the evening laying down the bass tracks for two new songs by artist and production engineer, Derrick "DOT" Wallace, pictured below at the console. Be Easy and Fly Like A Bird will be released very soon on the Major League label.

June 29th, Andrea Resort Hotel, Misquamicut RI :

Another beautiful day in the sun on the beach in Rhode Island. We played once again at the Andrea Resort Hotel on Misquamicut beach. This time our visit was sponsored by the good folks at Smirnoff so they sent their lovely spokes-women to pass out some free drinks and other trinkets.

September 12th, Midnight Sun Cafe', Torrington CT :

Opening the evening with our first ever, acoustic set, including a tribute to Johnny Cash, "Fulsom Prison Blues".

Later in the evening. Lee is back on bass and the house is a rockin'.

The Midnight Sun is a really clean venue in the middle of downtown Torrington. The Werner Theater is located diagonally across the intersection. Country star Travis Tritt was performing at the Werner this evening and when the show was over, a nice little crowd made their way across the street to check out a little "Crisis" music.

October 1st, MLC World Headquarters, Newington CT :

MLC founding member, Rich Stevens, has decided to leave the group to persue other projects. Over the last four years, Rich has been responsible for some great vocal, guitar and keyboard work. We will miss him on our stage.

October 25th, Knights of Columbus Hall, Seymour CT :
