OK, this show was exactly one year on from my DJSR debut, before I had show names, a regular slot (I originally broadcast on a Tuesday evening) or any kind of routine in place. What I did for my first show was redo the set I’d done the month before when I’d had my first ever gig.
That gig, I mentioned before, was called Energy and a club called Zero – hence the title of the set!
Energy At Zero
So this show is special because it is essentially not only my first anniversary set and a re-run of my first ever internet radio set, it’s also my first ever liveset too! 🙂
Before I did this set I always said I only ever wanted to play in a club once, just to say I had – but that night I got a taste for it that I still lust after now – it was after I fluffed the mix of The Legacy and noticed that no-one cared 🙂 During the breakdown I caught sight of a guy on the dancefloor with his eyes shut, completely lost in the moment, only for him to open his eyes again and see me looking. He broke out into a broad grin and shouted “COME ON, LAZARUS!” even though I’d never seen him before in my life. Safe to say that was the moment I was hooked 😀
