Making Strides
Against Breast Cancer
Once
again, this October
19, 2008, the American
Cancer Society will be sponsoring its walk-a-thon at Jones.
Donations are dedicated to life-saving American Cancer Society research,
education, patient support, and advocacy programs to defeat the disease.
Last year’s walk brought out over 50,000 men, women and children who demonstrated
their concern about the need to raise awareness and dollars to fight breast
cancer. They raised over 3 million
dollars for the cause.
This
year will mark the 15th anniversary of this worthwhile event
and the eighth time TASC has sent a walking team.
