1977. As a result of an illustrated feature in Bike magazine, offered a research project by Yamaha Amsterdam to develop a touring fairing for the XS1100 concentrating on wind tunnel work. Put into production selling 5000+, and eventually as a Martini Limited Edition. Team: Steve Furlonger (Windsor Workshop), Dave Weightman, Barry Hobson.

1978. Hailwood Martini race-team livery. Isle of Man team member. Range of road accessories for Yamaha as well as graphics and livery. Designed paint scheme for Katayama's 350 triple world title winner. Made full size life caste of Kenny Roberts in his 1979 leathers. Edition of 22 at Windsor Workshop with Bruce Gernand.

Produced a series of prototype concept motor cycles with David Bean for Yamaha. These included a Paris - Dakar style bike and a feet forward 350 scooter with a pressed steel frame. Began work on a 125 streamliner and worked on the RD250/350 LC project including accessory h/l cowl and under belly with Fathomtree, Nottingham.

1979. While still working for Yamaha, David Bean and I worked on the Hesketh motorcycle. Designed and prototyped the V-1000 styling and the company house-style, later returning to do the Vampire fairing. The project was underfunded and under rated.

1983. Worked on a range of Yamaha BMX bicycles. Detailed frames and specifications. This led to later work for Falcon bicycles. Worked with Harris Brothers on Harris Magnum.

Became friendly with Barry Sheene around 1975, though we had met in the 60's when we both worked for Ian Burne on the Continental Circus. Eventually did three sets of leathers for him including Yamaha and his Suzuki team livery in 1983.

1985-86. Design and development of Tripod 3 wheeler for Heron Suzuki. Cut and fold glued aluminium honeycomb chassis clad with plastic mouldings. Denys Rohan with Nick Barnes at Heron, Ciba Geigy materials, Mick Broom with huge input from Fathomtree.

Recruited by team manager Paul Butler to produce an extensive Lucky Strike sponsorship presentation for Team Roberts in 1985. Continued working for the team on aerodynamic and fabrication work until 1997. First work for Triumph Motorcycles in 1987.

1988. Ducted radiator 250 Yamaha. 50% reduction in radiator size. Carbon frame and swing arm, and as aerodynamic as time, money and the regulations allowed. Frame: Nigel Leaper. Fabrication and build: Mick Broom. For Team Roberts: rider, John Kocinski.
