Our Christmas Nativity Stable

From humble beginnings , an old wooden box, a reed screen and a willow garden trellis, I began to put together a stable to house Pam's nativity figures. 2007 will be the first time the figures have been displayed in our home.

The wooden box was dismantled and the sides cut to form a sloping roof. The willow garden trellis was dismantled and the sticks cut to fit along the inside and outside walls. A hole was drilled in the back wall to allow a light to be placed inside once the stable was finished.

The cut "logs" were then stuck to the upright sides of the box. Both inside and outside were covered in this way to give an appearance of an old log stable.
