Homemade Cat Scratching Posts

Meghan, Mike and Jimmy have taken to constructing cat scratching posts in our garage using scraps of wood, carpet and sisal rope.

They have constructed two thus far. Meghan kept the first and smaller of the two builds.

The black blur is Miss Melody who saw me taking pictures and decide to model for me.

It’s sturdy and looks identical to the ones you can purchase at a pet store. And this was only their second attempt! I’m sure future projects will be even better!
