Media Impact on Election ’08

According to the latest Rasmussen poll, 55% of Americans believe that “media bias is a bigger problem for the electoral process than large campaign donations.” Furthermore, 68% believe that “most reporters try to help the candidate they want to win.”

In other words, the media’s claim of journalistic objectivity is a sham, and Americans know it. So when the media starts piling on Sarah Palin, it does not come across as a public service to inform the electorate — it comes across as a politically motivated hatchet job. And that will backfire on them big time.
