Visualizing antibiotic resistance

The Wall Street Journal‘s Health Blog reports on Resistance Map, a new way to visualize the problem of antibiotic resistance in the US and around the world.  Created by Extending the Cure, an antibiotic-resistance policy effort that is part of the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics & Policy, Resistance Map uses graphs and maps to display data from surveillance systems that gather information from hundreds of hospital labs to provide a regional look at resistance by certain bacteria to specific antibiotics.
